If super luscious, rich, powerful and velvety Italian reds sound like a bit of you – say Ciao to Neroperso Appassimento from Veneto in Italy!

This label celebrates the ancient winemaking technique of drying grapes after harvest for 60 days until each grape is died out, called ‘appassimento’. Appassimento wines are full bodied, deep and rich in colour, powerful and warming with a variety of intense fruit flavours, aromas and spice.

This is a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Corvinone and Merlot grapes from the Veneto region but it’s mainly Corvina (pronounced “kor-vee-nah”) which is a thick skinned grape and perfect for the appassimento method which helps produce full bodied, higher alcohol wines with higher levels of sweetness.

Dried fruit flavours, dark chocolate, rich, luscious and velvety and coming in at 15%. It’s an Italian taste sensation and cracking value!
