Matua Lands & Legends Chardonnay

Made by Matua, a household winemaking name in NZ since around the 60s. They created the Lands & Legends series to share awesome stories (legends), including this one all about Kupe and the Octopus.

During a scrap they had the Octopus’ tentacles gouged out what’s now known as the Marlborough Sounds. Later, quite close to those rocky islands, Matua planted some grapes. That’s the short of it. For the full story you’ll need to buy a bottle and read it for yourself!

Their Lands & Legends Marlborough Chardonnay was aged in oak for 10 months and has plenty of citrus and stonefruit flavours. At this price, it definitely is a little bit of a legend.
