    Sold out sorry!

We won’t bore you with the story behind how this label got its name – Captain George Vancouver, HMS Discovery, it’s a nautical themed story that’ll put you to sleep.

What’s a bit more interesting is this wine is crafted by a qualifyed NZ Master of Wine and produced under a label he’s always proudly slapped his name on. Steve Bennett’s the dude and he’s gone and sourced premium, low yielding Marlborough grapes from the Wairau Valley and produced a complex, weighty and dry style Sauvignon not normally seen in this kind of price range.

Lees aged (a technique winemakers use to add richness, flavour and aroma) and released after 12 months to ensure this wine is at its peak as soon as it hits the shelves. An awesome Sauvignon style to pair with food – think fish, shellfish or white meats like chicken that are herb infused with parsley, basil or rosemary. If you really want to show off when your mates come round for the next dinner party, serve it after a meal with a goat’s milk cheese.
