Dandelion’s making wishes come true. There’s got to be magic behind the label to make Aussie wine guru James Halliday’s list of Top 10 Best New Wineries that’s for sure.

A fusion of vineyards and vignersons across three families in South Australia. So, who are the Dandelions? They’re Elena (trophy winemaker and, we might add, trophy wife!), Zar (Elena’s husband, typist and other jobs TBA) and winegrowers Carl, Peggy, Fiona and Brad. Oh, and Madison the dog.

The Lionheart is named after their vigneron Carl. They hail this guy as king of the jungle when it comes to old vine Barossa Shiraz.

This is their 2023 vintage and among an impressive haul of FOUR Gold medals one of them was at the NZ International Wine Show 2024. A powerful, dense, full bodied beast. It’s loaded with spicy, dark fruit flavours that make Aussie Shiraz lovers simply lick their lips! Pounce on it now.
