Get more go on Moro. Castillo del Moro that is. In fact, get a whole heap more go with this amazing value Spanish red blend of Tempranillo and Syrah. As wine critic Sam Kim called it in his 4 1/2 Star, 90/100 review – “Outstanding value“.

You won’t find caramel, nougat or milk chocolate but you could pick up sweet berries and dark fruit flavours like plums and cherries. A modern style, silky, supple Spanish red full of bright, juicy flavours and produced using the star grape of the Spanish wine scene Tempranillo (temp-rah-knee-oh) and Syrah.

Sourced and imported into NZ by Master of Wine Steve Bennett. Steve has a track record of foraging out bang for buck bargains and he’s done it again here! Named after the Castle of Moro (we don’t speak Spanish – but there is a picture of a castle on the label which is a bit of a giveaway). If you’re pairing this number with a feast for a king – tapas and pretty much any slab or cut of red meat will do the trick nicely.
