The Bendigo Hills label is made by a winery whose name we’ve been asked to keep under wraps. Probably because they’re listed as one of the “Top Wineries of New Zealand 2025” in The Real Review and made by a super talented young winemaker shortlisted for a big award.

Using hand picked fruit from their organically certified vineyard some 400m above sea level and aged for ten months in oak. In their own words – “The Bendigo Hills are north facing semi-arid slopes growing some of the finest Organic Wines in Central Otago…Ripe dark cherry and plum aromas with hints of Central Otago wild herbs. The palate is concentrated yet beautifully balanced with silky fine-grained tannins providing the framework for agebility and development of flavour.”

Scoring 5 Stars and 94/100 with critic Sam Kim who said “Richly fruited and elegantly complex, the wine shows golden peach, poached pear, fig and floral aromas on the nose, leading to a splendidly weighted palate offering ripe fruit intensity with creamy texture and juicy acidity.
