Say Olá to your new favourite summer red – this is Pinta Negra made by a winery called Adegamae in Lisbon, Portugal.
This is banging value for money sneaking under the $15 radar (selling elsewhere right now for much more) and delivering a medium bodied, juicy, fruity and deliciously silky smooth red wine that is simply perfect sipping for the warmer months. But heck, this is pure drinkability at its best at a seriously good price so you’ll catch us downing a glass of this anytime of year to be honest!
The wine is a blend of the grape varieties of Aragonez (also known as Tempranillo in neighbouring Spain) and the local Portuguese variety Castelao (pronounced kast-tall-ow). Don’t worry if you haven’t heard of them before – if you’re familiar with any fruit driven style red from Spain like Tempranillo or Garnacha you’ll fall in love with this. There’s no oak aging here – this is all about the vibrant, young fresh fruit flavours from their Lisbon vineyards.
Pair it with grilled or barbecued red meats, pastas or summer salads.

Damn, you're looking young for your age!
