Two Rivers, one man and a heap of awards over the years. This is Two Rivers Phoenix Pinot Gris and it’s made by superstar winemaker Dave Clouston.
Dave grew up on the banks of the Awatere and Wairau Rivers, thus the name Two Rivers. He’s labelled this one “Phoenix” as for a few years he put this wine on the hiatus. But the Phoenix has risen from the ashes and is back baby!
And we’re sure glad it is. This is a very classy off-dry, textural Pinot Gris for an extremely reasonable price. Seriously, for the money you’ve bagging an absolute bargain here.
We can honestly say we’ve never, ever had a bad wine from Dave or Two Rivers and it sure as hell didn’t stop now. Buy with complete, utter confidence!
