Seppelt Original Sparkling Shiraz

If you’re new to sparkling Shiraz this is a great place to start – after all it’s what Aussie’s leading wine know-it-all James Halliday called “the best producer of Australian sparkling Shiraz“. This is a style of fizz they guzzle-a-plenty across the ditch so when he says that, take note!

They were also one of the first (it’s why they slapped the words “Original” on the label) – they’ve dug deep through the dusty archived records at the winery and reckon some of their ancestors were experimenting with this style as far back as the 1890s!

Blended parcels of richly flavoured Shiraz from Victoria with a secondary fermentation in the barrel – hey presto, you have Shiraz with bubbles!

This full bodied wine is not only a whole lot of fun to drink all year round, it’s a fantastic little drop to pair with a wide variety of foods. Try rich meats, game meats and chocolate desserts. For a master class food match try this one with scallops with pork belly and crackling – yummy!
