Check this out and then consider it’s a secondary label AND coming at you under the $30 mark. Dollar for dollar this quite some Pinot buy!
Trophy Champion Otago Pinot Noir (Int’l Wine Challenge London 2026)
Gold medal, 95/100 (Int’l Wine Challenge London 2026)
“Attractive lifted aromas of strawberry, raspberry, summer pudding, ripe plum compote, and tantalising spice. In fact, amazing spice!”
Double Gold medal, 98/100 (NZ Int’l Wine Show 2025)
95/100 & Special Value Award (James Halliday’s Wine Companion)
“A cracking pinot noir from the ’24 vintage that picked up a double gold medal at the 2025 New Zealand International Wine Show and represents some serious value for money! Bright macerated raspberry and dark cherry fruit cut with hints of exotic spice, dried citrus rind, leaf litter and dried meaty nibs. Juicy raspberry fruit leads the charge here, with silty tannins and a real sense of drinking joy. It’s delicious.”
Rockburn winemaker Malcolm Rees-Francis had this to say – “With a velvety texture that envelops the senses, the wine delivers smooth, seamless aromatics and mouthfeel, revealing notes of ripe plum, succulent black cherry, and subtle, integrated oak. The result is a complex and beautifully balanced Pinot Noir.”
Pinots priced under $30 don’t very often landing massive accolades like this. Jump in and enjoy!
