Named after a natural spring that pops up in their Rapaura vineyard there in Marlborough. They’re a name that’s been popping up on the radars of wine scribblers, judges, critics and (most importantly) wine lovers across the world.
They’re fast gaining a rep as one of Aotearoa’s top value wine producers. Don’t take our word for it, they’ve scooped “NZ Wine Producer of the Year” at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London a couple of years back and they’ve stashed away Trophies from the Air NZ Wine Awards, Marlborough Wine Show and New World Wine Awards.
This is their Reserve label Marlborough SauvyB from the 2023 vintage – and it’s an absolute champ for the money! Don’t take our word for it, the judges at the Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition 2023 picked this as their overall Trophy Champion Sauvignon Blanc!
It also scored 94/100 AND a Top Value Award AND a Top Rank Award from Master of Wine Bob Campbell for The Real Review. In fact this was Bob’s No.1 Top White for September 2023!
Bob called it “Tangy, refreshing sauvignon with passionfruit, guava, gooseberry, nectarine and green-apple flavours supported by bright, punchy acidity that drives a lingering finish. Smooth-textured wine in a truly dry style”. Like most Marlborough SauvyB this ought to be chilled down in the fridge and paired with some quality, fresh kai moana.
