These guys are as passionate about producing awesome Pinot (Noir & Gris!) as they are about protecting the native bird species they’ve named them after.

Peregrine are big sponsors of the Wingspan Birds of Prey Trust, who take care of injured and orphaned birds of prey. The Saddleback (or Tieke) is a native NZ bird once thought to be extinct – being a bird that fed off the ground its numbers took a hammering no thanks to introduced predators like dirty old rats, cats and stoats.

It’s also the name of Peregrine’s wicked secondary label Pinot Gris that gives many of its rivals a real lesson in value for money.

An absolutely drop dead gorgeous dry style Gris with citrus, stone fruit flavours and a touch of spice. All class.
