Nautilus Estate Chardonnay

The mathematically perfect spiral of the Nautilus shell has been admired since ancient Greek times…and in more recent times by wine lovers in NZ and around the world!

This is the Nautilus Estate Chardonnay from Marlborough and, well, pretty much like everything they produce it’s all class! Scoring 93/100 with Cameron Douglas MS, who said “Classic Nautilus expression, ripe and bold, a wine with power and core flavours of roasted stone fruits and baking spices, cashew nut and vanilla, red apple and a crumbled stony soil quality. Plenty of weight and texture to match, this is not a big buttery style it is elegant and sophisticated with fine textures from fruit and acidity with a frame of judiciously measure oak. Well made and lengthy with best drinking from early 2026 through 2032.”

First launched in 1985 as a premium, family owned NZ winery. These days Nautilus are part of a bigger (and very prestigious) family – The Family of Twelve.
