    I AM ONE MAN.
    I AM MANY STORIES.
    I AM GEORGE.

It might sound like the intro to a new blockbuster Hollywood movie but it’s actually the latest wine release from George Wyndham wines across the ditch. To be fair, George was a bit of a legend so it’d be fair enough to put his story on the big screen.

He was the father to twelve sons, two daughters and Australian Shiraz. He traveled from the UK to a strange new land sailing through ferocious storms. He planted Australia’s first commercial vineyard of Shiraz way back in 1830. His Wyndham Estate has gone on to be one of the most iconic South Australian producers – in tipping their hat to the man and the legend they’ve changed the name of the winery from Wyndham Estate to simply “George Wyndham”.

Using fruit from the Limestone Creek sub region of South Australia this 3:1 blend of Shiraz and Cabernet is a dark, rich style red with a touch of spice. It’s got the thumbs up from critics on both sides of the ditch…

92/100 (Bob Campbell MW)“A full-flavoured and appealing red”
92/100 (Huon Hooke MW)“A very attractive blend”
4 Stars (Michael Cooper, North & South magazine) -“Powerful young red…deliberately crafted in a bold, robust style”

George wasn’t the kind of bloke to muck about – if he were around today he’d be telling you to get this one open with a big cut of grilled or barbecued beef. Done.
