Chilean winemaker Don Melchor de Concha y Toro was terrified that strangers would get their dirty mits on some of the most treasured wines in his cellar. So he spread the rumour that the devil lived there – Casillero del Diablo (Cellar of the Devil!)
Mind you, if the devil did live there he’d be waving his pitchfork around in joy – these Diablo wines never fails to over deliver for the money. A regular as the No.1 Most Admired Wine Brand by Drinks Magazine International, they sat at number four in the 2019 edition. Not bad eh?
A light, soft style Pinot South American style! Bust it open alongside white meat and fish dishes.
