Out of stock
A massive Marlborough Sauvy cancelled export order just landed in our laps – and it’s a beauty! Ana Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, made by the talented Eradus bunch, was destined for the USA before a u-turn left them with excess stock to shift.
The Yanks’ loss, your gain! We’ve snapped up the whole lot and can pass it on at a price bordering on stupid. Eradus have carved out a name for themselves as top Sauvignon producers over the years and using fruit from some of their Awatere Valley vineyards this label is no different.
Named after their daughter, Ana-Sophie, who was born just after the 2009 vintage this is a style they call “a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc…intenseley fruit and herbacious palate makes for a very fine wine.”
Local critic Sam Kim gave it thumbs up too with a highly decent 4 1/2 stars, 91/100 score. Sam called it “Fresh and bright…a lively palate that is juicy and flavoursome. It is up front and very tasty with plenty of delectable flavours.”
You might find small pockets of this wine around the traps here in NZ selling for around the NZD$15 mark. Retailers in the USA and UK have this wine on their shelves for NZD$20 and upwards – making this price even more of a total jaw dropper! An obvious bargain if we ever saw one. Don’t muck about, get your A-into-G and chuck a case or three in the cart stat!
