Choo Choo – all aboard! That’s how Ciù Ciù is pronounced and is a nod to the owner’s Grandfather who used to be a signalman on the local railways – an important transport link shipping people…and wine!

And in a clever twist Ciù Ciù is also local dialect for ‘Drink! Drink!’ – which is exactly what you’ll be wanting to do after the first sip of this fascinating crisp, medium-bodied Italian white from from the Marche region on Italy’s eastern coast. Ciu Ciu Arbinus is an organically produced white from the Verdicchio (pronounced “vair-dee-kee-yo”) grape primarily found in the Marche region. Verdicchio is known for its bright, citrus, peach and almond flavours, high acidity and slightly oily texture. Lovers of the aromatic white varieties will be right into it.

Younger and fresher styles of Verdicchio will pair well with fresh seafood and seafood pasta dishes. For more complex or aged styles of Verdicchio try roasted white meats like chicken or veal, aged pecorino or semi-hard cheeses or or roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
