They’re Bodegas Borsao and they’re one of the world’s great wine co-operatives with 375 families and some 2,100 hectares of vineyards involved. They’ve pioneered and revolutionised the Garnacha (aka Grenache) grape in the Campo do Borja region in north eastern Spain.

This is Borsao’s Tocado label which is predominantly their signature rich and juicy Garnacha with a splash of Tempranillo and Cabernet in there too – all produced from vineyards with an average vine age of 10-15 years old.

A rich, juicy, silky smooth style red that took out a Silver medal at both the NZ International Wine Show and New World Wine Awards. All for under $15 – bang for buck from Spain…again!
