If we say “Zephyr” and you say “Ford” you’re on the wrong wave length (and showing your age!) – we’re talking the very classy wine label with international acclaim, owned and operated by the Glover family.
A third generation farming family Owen and Wendy turned their Dillon’s Point farm in Blenheim into a vineyard back in 1985. The Glover’s their own label Zephyr back in 2007 with a real focus on the aromatic styles like Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.
Their son Ben is in charge of the winemaking side of things and chances are you’ve probably slurped on something Ben’s had a hand in making. Wither Hills, Waipara Hills, Mud House and Corbans are just a few of the big names Glover’s been behind.
This latest 2024 release of their single vineyard Gewurz is a thing of beauty. Trophy for Champion Gewurztraminer at TWO of NZ’s major domestic wine shows! Yep, Double Trophy and Double Gold – that’s no flash in the pan.
Spicy and lush – it’s the style of white that only this variety can throw at you. Sheer class with spicy Asian cuisine or ripe wash rind cheeses.
