Named after a natural spring that pops up in their Rapaura vineyard there in Marlborough. They’re a name that’s been popping up on the radars of wine scribblers, judges, critics and (most importantly) wine lovers across the world.
This is Rapaura Spring’s “Rohe” series which means territory in Maori. They’ve selected special sites within key sub regions of Marlborough like Dillons Point, Blind River, Rapaura, Awatere and the Southern Valleys. This is their Dillons Point label and just like everything else we’ve come across in the Rohe range – this is classy stuff!
Winner of two Gold medals including an impressive Double Gold at the NZ International Wine Show which means every senior judge gave it a Gold medal score! The Rapaura Springs crew said “This wine oozes ripeness, with intense passionfruit and blackcurrant flavours, that combine with a salty minerality unique to Dillon’s Point. This wine is immediately expressive but will continue to drink well for the next three years.”
