A name to keep an eye on from Waiheke Island! A couple of years back these guys grabbed the headlines taking out No.1 spot in The Real Review for their 2024 vintage of Jasper Ridge Rosé – beating the likes of Terra Sancta, Amisfield, Greystone, Two Rivers, Neudorf, Mt.Difficulty and neighbouring Man O’ War to top spot.

Located at the eastern end of Waiheke Island Jasper Ridge are a seriously boutique producer of quality Rosé (clearly!) and Syrah. You geography nerds out there will be delighted to know the name comes from Jaspillite (aka Jasper) which is a semi precious stone created under pressure and over hundreds of millions of years formed by injected lava in greywacke sandstone, which can be found in the land around their site there on Waiheke.

This latest 2026 release of Jasper Ridge Rose has gone 5-Stars again with local critic Sam Kim’s review – Sam said “Pristine and elegantly expressed… juicy fruit intensity… lengthy, vibrant finish.”
