Armand de Chambray was a 19th century wine merchant well known in the heart of Burgundy. He took his knowledge (and probably a few casks of vino) around Europe to the wine slurping powers at the time – England, Russia and Scandinavia.
Produced “Methode” style (a second fermentation in the bottle, like Champagne) and labelled as “Blanc de Blancs” (meaning it’s made entirely with Chardonnay grapes). If you’re looking for quality fizz on a shoe string budget then Armand could just be your guy.
