"A quality sparkling wine from the famous Ackerman winemakers in the Loire Valley – and under a tenner? Need we say anymore? This is not one to be missed – for anything."
That’s what the judges at the International Wine Challenge said before slapping it with a "Commended" (that’s what they call ‘Quality Assured’) award. Being a wine show run by Brits when they say "tenner" they’re talking about pounds (around twenty bucks NZ) – making this price quite spectacular for a bubbly of this quality!
It’s even had NZ wine critic Sam Kim jumping out his seat in excitement – he scored it a huge 93/100 (5 Stars) and said "A gorgeous wine…a fabulous alternative to Champagne."
A Blanc de Blancs Brut which means it’s made entirely with white grapes, mainly Chardonnay. A clean, crisp and refreshing bubbles that absolutely tastes the part as much as it looks the part in its contemporary cream and gold coloured label and packaging – which let’s face it is pretty important when you’re serving bubbly at a party!
