If you’re serious about Prosecco this is one you seriously have to try. Time and time again Masottina are proving themselves to be one of the top producers of Prosecco and this is a bang on example.

Winner of 95 Points and listed in Decanter’s “Wines of the Year” list in 2021 – it was the only Italian sparkling wine to make that prestigious list!

From a small sub region of Prosecco that holds the highest classification for quality control when it comes to this world famous, fashionable style of fizz. Just as Champagne can only come from the namesake region in France, Prosecco can only be produced in the Veneto and Friuli regions of northern Italy. Zoom in on a map and you’ll find Treviso, a province of Veneto. Keep zooming in and you’ll see the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG production area (flanked by the villages of Conegliano to the east and Valdobbiadene to the west). This is the only region in Italy that can produce this Prosecco of the highest quality.

Gorgeous old Italian villas with manicured lawns, tree lined streets and cobble stone walkways can be found in Conegliano. Oh yeah and a fair few BMWs and Mercedes parked up too! Yep, there’s money in making A-grade Prosecco it seems!

The Masottina winemaking family bought 10 acres of land here back in 1946 – they now own hundreds of aces in the area while many other producers still only own a few acres of vines.

A silky, seductive, gorgeous style Prosecco made in an extra dry style. A class act.
