Prosecco has taken the world by storm in recent years. Now seen by many regular drinkers of fizz as a great, affordable alternative to French Champagne. Fresh, fruity flavours, super refreshing and great value for money.
One of NZ’s very own wine buffs Steve Bennett, a qualified Master of Wine, always keeps his ear (or is that nose?) to the ground for little gems from around Europe and he’s landed one in Giacondi Prosecco.
Giacondi Prosecco ticks all the boxes for a decent sub-$15 Italian Prosecco – looks smart, tastes great and has the backing of not only the Master of Wine who brought it into Aotearoa but local wine critic Sam Kim.
Sam gave it 4 1/2 out of 5 Stars and said “Elegant and fresh, the beautifully expressed bouquet shows white flesh stone fruit, lemon peel, Gala apple and floral characters, leading to a refreshing palate that is juicy and lively. It is up front and immediately appealing with bright fruit flavours.”
