Cava is to Spanish sparkling wine what Champagne is to France. Although technically they can’t call it Champagne it’s made in the same way, in Aotearoa we call it “Methode Traditionelle”, a second fermentation in the bottle to produce those magical little bubbles.

Codorniu (pronounced cod-or-new) are the world’s largest producer of bottle fermented sparkling wine (Methode Traditionelle) and are Spain’s oldest and most successful Cava producers. Along with Prosecco, Cava is up there with the hottest wine styles being guzzled around the globe right now.

Named 1872 after the year Codorniu’s founder Josep Raventós made the first ever bottle of Cava! Produced just outside of Barcelona in Catalonia, this is fresh, crisp and dry in style. Add some Spanish flair to your fizz supplies!
