Thornbury Pinot Gris

No wonder the dude on the front label is doing a little jig. That’s Dionysus by the way, Greek God of Wine, and star of the front label of Thornbury Pinot Gris. There’s plenty to celebrate about when you’re owned by one of the most successful NZ wineries of all time (Villa Maria) and have access to their vast selection of top vineyards and grape growers all around the country!

This is their latest 2024 vintage and it’s a big act to follow with previous vintages winning Trophy, Double Gold, 5 Star and No.2 rated Pinot Gris in Cuisine and Top Value Award from Master of Wine Bob Campbell. In fact, we can’t remember the last time this label didn’t seriously impress on the awards circuit.

And sure enough….another Gold at the NZ International Wine Show 2024! It definitely sticks its hand up as one of the country’s consistently top value Pinot Gris!

Made in an off-dry in style from the Waipara region, where Simon (the head wine guy at Thornbury) says there’s heaps to see and do. Why not go whale watching in the Kaikoura, or get a massage at the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools? A rub down will feel all the better with a glass of this citrusy, mouth-filling Gris!
