It says “Buttery Chardonnay” right there on the label and that’s exactly what it is. This is Shortbread Buttery Chardonnay.
From the Shortbread Wine Co in sun drenched California and now available for guzzlers on this side of the globe that can’t get enough of the buttery, rich and creamy style of Chardonnay.
Using fruit from across the California region this is a true 100% malolactic fermented Chardonnay (the fancy winemaking process that gives whites that buttery, creamy texture) and aged in a combination of French oak (40%) and American oak (60%) of which 20% was expensive new oak.
In the words of the Shortbread Wine Co winemaker – “With a nod or two to our namesake cookie, we craft our Buttery Chardonnay with rich, lush flavors and sunny, smooth character.”
Served it chilled from the fridge and if you’re pairing it with a feed how about the all American pumpkin bacon mac ‘n’ cheese and a buttery glass of Shortbread!
