Woods Crampton. That’s Aaron Woods & Nicholas Crampton and they’re a small winemaking/designer/marketing duo across that ditch behind this cool looking Barossa label.
Actually, “small” is their word. These guys went from producing 1500 dozen to 30,000 in no time and now export all around the globe. In short, the wines look and taste the part and are on fire for a bloody good reason!
Aussie’s top wine critic James Halliday consistently gives this a score of 93/100, calling this 2016 vintage “Has very good attack to its lively mouthfeel, with black fruits, licorice and pepper darting in every direction. It’s very catchy and juicy and savoury.”
Produced from low yielding, old vine vineyards across the Barossa region and aged for 9 months in oak. This wine also has the added bonus of being vegan friendly and lower in sulphites as they have minimal intervention.
