“A whopper”. In every sense of the word. With an an almost unbelievable 37 Gold medals to its name this is one of the most awarded wines Taylors has ever produced!
The St Andrews vineyard in Clare Valley goes back 125 years when two Scottish immigrants purchased the 323 acre farming property and turn it into vineyards and orchards, naming it after the patron saint of their homeland. In 1995 Taylors Estate bought the historic site and four years later they’d produced their first wines from this awesome site.
The highest quality fruit, aged 18 months in oak, this is one of the Clare Valley’s most iconic Shiraz labels and not one for the faint hearted. It’s a big, full bodied, powerful style with big tannins and sweet-fruit – like we say, a whopper!
It’s all class. With 21 Gold medals to its name ain’t that obvious? If you needed any more convincing – one of Aussie’s leading wine critics James Halliday rated it a huge 95/100 as well. A special wine that will comfortably cellar into 2030 and beyond!
