Hennessy’s a name most likely to roll off the tongue in any conversation about Cognac. After all, they produce 40% of the world’s Cognac which, if you’re wondering, is about 50 million bottles a year!
Cognac is an area in south-western France where this luxury brandy is made. “XO” stands for Extra Old but it’s also known as “Luxury” which is exactly why it’s under the umbrella of global luxury power house Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy!
Much like their wine France also has a grading system for their Cognac. To be an “XO” cognac the youngest brandy in the blend has to be aged for at least six years. You can expect the average age of the brandy in most XO’s to be around 20 years old, some of the 100 brandies used in Hennessy XO are over 30 years old – giving this Cognac its famous rich, powerful and complex flavour.
A must for the hardcore Cognac lover. Comes presented in a Hennesy XO branded gift box.
