Please note Saturday deliveries need to be booked in by early Friday afternoon.

Who delivers the wine?

We use our mates at NZ Couriers to deliver. If you’re in the Auckland region you could occasionally be greeted by a good looking, well groomed young guy or girl wearing a The Good Wine Co branded t-shirt!

Do you do same day delivery?

The only way we can 100% guarantee a same day delivery in Auckland is via an urgent Sub60 courier. Delivery prices vary depending on how much gas the courier guy or girl has to put in their car and how clogged up Auckland’s roads are. So just get in touch with us to firm up a price if you need an urgent, last minute, speedy delivery. You could also collect your order from your nearest NZ Couriers depot, talk to us if you’d like go with this option.

What about over night South Island delivery?

Yep, in some cases we can deliver overnight to a South Island address. Sorry, not available for Rural Delivery areas.

Costs vary via Airfreight depending on the size of the parcel (12 bottles is approx $40), but you’ll need to let us know if you’re wanting to use this urgent service so that we can ensure your order doesn’t miss its flight! If your address is Rural and you use this service you’ll receive your wine one business day quicker than using standard South Island freight.

What happens if I’m not in when the parcel is delivered?

The courier driver will leave a calling card for you – except for Rural Deliveries. Follow the instructions on the card to arrange re-delivery or to collect your wine from their depot if you’d prefer.

When placing your order you can leave instructions at the checkout to leave the wine in a safe place (for example by the back door, with the neighbours or in the garden shed). Just use the “Delivery Instructions” box at the checkout to let us know.

Please remember though that we’re not insured if the wine goes missing if you or the recipient has given authority to leave. Please also note drivers are unable to guarantee any text or phone call requests. For Rural Deliveries, a signature is not required. If you are Rural Delivery and require a signature you may wish to have your parcel delivered to the nearest NZ Couriers Collection Point.

Who can sign for the wine?

Only persons over the age of 18 are able to sign and receive orders from us. This is in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

If you’re lucky enough to look under the age of 25 the courier will ask to see valid ID. If the receiver is under the age of 18 or does not have valid ID the parcel will be returned to the depot for further instruction.

My wine is damaged, what now?

It doesn’t happen very often but if it does don’t worry – you’re covered! Your wine is insured up to the point of delivery, so if anything is damaged we’ll replace it pronto.

But remember, if you’ve given authority to leave the wine without a signature and it’s stolen or damaged we’re not covered.

Can I come and collect my order?
