    Wai (water) Para (sediment) – aka Muddy Water!

    Muddy Water wasn’t created in a marketing room somewhere in the big smoke, it was named after the land the wine’s crafted from. Simple as that. The name might not sound all that fancy but the wine certainly is. Produced by the crowd at Greystone and taking an entirely down to earth approach to wine making, certified organic and all hand crafted.

    We don’t do heavy-handed buttery Chardonnays here” they’ll tell you. Instead they go for a style typical of Burgundy in France, the home of Chardonnay. Produced from 22 year old vines that sit on rich limestone infused clay soils (similar to Burgundy), fermented with wild yeasts in 500L French oak puncheons.

    Scoring a whopping 95/100 and a Top Rank award by The Real Review’s Bob Campbell, Bob called it “Intense chardonnay with peaches and cream, sizzled butter and delicate nut characters that are beautifully integrated. Seductively-textured wine supported by a thread of ripe acidity. A beautifully balanced chardonnay with energy.”
