The Ned’s Noble Rot Sauvignon Blanc. Yep, that’s right. From a vineyard full of rotting grapes – but it’s a good thing!

It’s fair enough they’ve dropped the word “rot” from the label (we can’t imagine it would do wonders for sales!) but Noble Rot (or botrytis as it’s also called) is a type of fungus that shrivels and decays grapes with amazing results. This process adds a whole new level of flavours and cranks up the sweetness factor.

Using some of The Ned’s world famous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes from their vineyards in the Waihopai Valley, superstar winemaker Brent Marris has made this absolutely delicious sweet wine that’s full of rich, luscious citrus and stone fruit flavours.

Serve this one with your favourite cream and fruit based puddings (how about a classic Kiwi Pav?) or a hunk of blue cheese!
