Ready. Aim. Fire! Here comes Man O’ War Warspite – a Bordeaux blend made by the Man O’ War crew from vineyards on Ponui Island, just south east of Waiheke Island.
After its debut in 2010 this 2014 release is the fourth time they’ve fired the Warspite into the market.
HMS Warspite (nicknamed “The Grand Old Lady”) was a WWI and WWII battleship made for speed, elegance and power. Much like this supple, rich red blended from Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec grapes. It’s what Michael Cooper (Master of Wine) calls a “powerful, sturdy red” and with a whopping 15% alcohol, approach this vessel with caution!
