This Raptor sure has the killer touch! Swooping in at the Air NZ Wine Awards recently to three huge collections for its nest – Trophy for Champion Reserve Wine of Show, Champion Chardonnay and a Pure Gold medal!

No doubt chucking it in the nest with the two other Silver medals from major wine shows and Top 100/Metro Magazine recommendation.

These guys are the proud sponsors of the Wingspan Birds of Prey Trust, which is why you’ll find the Karearea (NZ falcon) slapped on all of their labels. The Raptor Series is Lake Chalice’s top end range – high quality wine, hand picked fruit, only produced in small quantities (just 225 cases of this one made) with good cellaring potential (try this one up to 2019).

A full bodied, creamy style Chardonnay that the Lake Chalice crew reckon is absolutely killer with scallops in a white wine sauce. Yum!
