Keep on eye on the Kuru Kuru – this great new Marlborough Sauvignon (named after the owner’s great-great-great Maori grandmother) hasn’t been around for long but is already turning a few heads!

Married to a Scottish Captain and a member of the Ngai Tahu iwi, this new Sauvy label has been named and designed in her honour. Not bad for a vegetable farmer from Stewart Island!

The label features Kuru Kuru’s ta moko (the face marking on her chin) which gives it a real Kiwiana look and feel. What an awesome gift for overseas based friends and family – but be careful who you give it to, Kuru Kuru is also an insult in Japanese!
