- "New Wave" Sauvignon - complex, European in style and very classy!
- A wine made to be enjoyed with seafood dishes
- Just won a Trophy for Champion Sauvignon Blanc 'Emerging Style'!
This is an example of what some wine wankers are calling "New Wave" Sauvignon. Not New Wave like New Wave Punk from the 70s, but New Wave as in a style of Sauvy screaming out to be different from your typical acidic, fruit bomb Kiwi Sauvignon.
It's more in line with the world famous Cloudy Bay Te Koko. A complex, European style Sauvignon this is oak aged using a type of wild yeast fermentation (more natural and helps in the production of complex, super premium wines).
This wine has got the wine scribblers in the industry sitting up and taking note - in fact, this wine just scooped a Trophy for Champion Sauvignon Blanc 'Emerging Style' at the Marlborough Wine Show.
And if you're wondering where the name came from, it means "supreme moment" in Ancient Greek - crack it open with seafood dishes and you'll have almost definitely have a Kairos.
