- Trophy winner for top Cabernet at this year's Spiegelau International Wine Competition
- Seriously damn good Cabernet blend
- Clearview Estate's flagship red wine
This is Clearview Estate's flagship red - an absolute ripper of a blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot, Cab Franc and Malbec. Some of the hand picked grapes are plucked next to a 100 year old Olive Tree (thus the name).
Full bodied and absolutely delicious. Hardly a surprise it took out the Cabernet Trophy at the Spiegelau International Wine Competition midway through this year.
Made by a really talented and charasmatic winemaker in Tim Turvey. Back in 1988 he was told it was too cold to grow grapes at the Te Awanga location in Hawkes Bay. Boy, did he show them!
A very special wine that will cellar for several years yet. Match with venison, beef and lamb.
