It ain’t Champagne but it sure as hell looks like it and (more importantly) tastes like it!
A few years back this took out a massive award in top spot for No.1 Sparkling in Cuisine magazine which may have surprised a few people but this is the fizz that already got a huge 94/100 score by Master of Wine Bob Campbell (Bob called it a “satisfying sparkler in a sophisticated style“) and also got selected as one of Gourmet Traveller magazine’s “Best Buy Import Wines”. Cuisine’s judges called it “A real surprise packet from France…classy offering that shows great French sparkling wines need not necessarily come from the famous Champagne district.””
A Blanc de Blancs style bubbles (made almost entirely from Chardonnay grapes) produced by Methode Traditionelle (using the same winemaking techniques as they do in Champagne) in the south of Burgundy. A class act from start to finish, a true Champagne experience without the Champagne price tag!
