Below are The Good Wine Co's terms and conditions. Although they are in small print we hope you agree that they are designed to be fair to you and to us, and allow us to fulfil our legal obligations as a responsible retailer of online liquor.
Legal Stuff It's illegal for us to sell liquor to anyone under the age of 18. It's also illegal for you to buy liquor if you're under the age of 18. It is illegal for you to falsify your details if you are under the age of 18 in order to buy liquor from us. By submitting an order on our website and agreeing to the Terms & Conditions you are confirming that you are over the age of 18 and legally allowed to buy liquor.
The Good Wine Co. operates under Liquor License number 005/OFF/3/2007.
We promote the moderate consumption of alcohol. Please enjoy responsibly.
Prices All of the prices on our website are inclusive of GST and are quoted in the mighty New Zealand dollar.
Delivery & Freight There is a minimum order of 6 bottles for an order. We won't restrict you to buying case lots of one brand - Mix and Match your order however you like.
If we are out of stock of an item you have purchased we will inform you as soon as possible and either refund your money for that product or let you replace it with something else.
The Good Wine Co. delivers to your door and we use Fastway Couriers as our preferred courier. We do not deliver outside of New Zealand.
Our Freight charges are as follows (please note that a case is 12 bottles) : Auckland Metropolitan - FREE! Greater Auckland (Orewa-Pokeno) - FREE! Rest of North Island - $7 per case South Island - $10 per case Waiheke & Great Barrier Island - $10 per case
All orders of 5 cases or more anywhere in the country are FREIGHT FREE! Please view our Delivery page for target delivery times.
Payment options We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. We also accept direct credit payments. Please contact us at info@thegoodwine.co.nz or on 0800 662 662 if you wish to pay by this method.
Returns Policy Our returns policy is simple and fair.
If it’s broken or damaged in transit we’ll replace it or give you your money back and we won't even charge you the freight! Please let us know within 48 hours of delivery. If you’re disappointed with the goods or think a wine is corked we’ll replace it or give you your money back. If you have any problems at all please contact us and we'll help sort the matter.
Please note that goods are insured up to the point of delivery. We are not insured for damaged or stolen goods after this point.
Out of Stock In the unlikely event we're out of stock of a product you've bought we'll let you know as soon as possible. You can decide whether you want your money back on that product, a replacement or wait until it's back in stock and we'll ship the whole lot together.

Privacy & Security The privacy and security of your details is important to us. We know that entering personal information on the internet can be a worrying thing. Rest assured that any details you submit, either for orders or to join our mailing list, will never be sold or distributed to third parties. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time using the link at the foot of the email or by contacting us.
Processing your credit card details safely and securely is top priority for us. We put into practice what we expect when we go online shopping. We use the best in the business to process your transactions - DPS (Direct Payment Solutions) who offer a secure payment gateway. The Good Wine Co doesn't see or hold your credit card details. We are shown the first six and last two digits of your number purely to identify your order before we can send the goods.
For those of you who are enrolled we can offer additional security via the Verified By Visa and Mastercard Securecode schemes.
Any personal information you submit is securely transferred using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) data encryption. The information submitted is encrypted using a special certificate key and then decrypted with another key after it has been transmitted. When you access parts of our site secured with SSL, a symbol displays in your browser window indicating that the site is secure.
